Hi, I’m Sharla.

I’m a veteran, mom, photographer, full-time traveler, and someone who has walked through seasons of deep healing — physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

But more than anything, I’m a woman learning to follow Jesus without hesitation.

The Chapter That Changed Everything

When I became an empty nester, I began asking questions I couldn’t ignore:

What is my purpose now?

How can I make an impact for Christ?

What does obedience look like in this season?

I prayed for clarity. I prayed for direction. I prayed for healing — in my heart and mind.

And in 2023, I packed up my Chevy Traverse, my tent, my camera, and my 10-year-old black lab, Buster — and drove 7,200 miles across the country.

That road trip changed everything.

The 7,200-Mile Road Trip That Changed Everything

It wasn’t glamorous. It wasn’t perfectly planned. It was full of breakdowns, divine provision, foggy mountains, financial stretching, and unmistakable God moments.

It confirmed what had been stirring in me for years:

I was being called to live differently.

Faith & Natural Healing

My passion for natural healing didn’t come from trends — it came from lived experience.

Walking through health challenges, supporting loved ones, and studying God’s design for the body deepened my conviction that healing requires:

• Removing what harms

• Supplying what nourishes

• Restoring the soul

• And trusting the Creator

I believe the body was designed with resilience. I believe stewardship matters. And I believe healing is both physical and spiritual.

Traveling With Purpose

Today, I travel with intention.

Sometimes that looks like:

• Serving on farms WWOOF-style stays

• Hosting health reatreats and workshops

• Visiting state parks with Buster

• Attending Christian retreats

• Attending natural healing & apothecary seminars & conferences

• Sharing yummy healing recipes

• Working toward continued healing

• Photographing God’s creation

Travel isn’t escape for me. It’s obedience.

Healing the Mind, Too

There was a time when I wrestled with heavy thoughts, deep guilt, and seasons of darkness. Becoming an empty nester forced me to confront parts of myself I had ignored. Being in an unhealthy relationship put me in a really dark place that I'm surrendering to God & letting Him be my anchor.

Through prayer, surrender, counseling, and time in God’s creation, away from the toxic environment I was in, the Lord began restoring my mind — replacing shame with grace, fear with faith, and striving with trust.

This journey is about:

• Growing my relationship with Yahweh

• Living spontaneously and courageously

• Letting Him guide each step

• Helping others feel less alone
